At present, it is still the government’s intention that all secondary aged students (Year 7 – Year 13) undergo asymptomatic testing (for those without coronavirus symptoms) using lateral flow tests before they return to school. Further details about the test can be found here. The aim is that, through more extensive testing, we will help to stop the virus spread and help to keep our school open for all to attend. The test is voluntary, but we are all being encouraged to take the test where this is being made available to us. All consenting students will be tested twice, three to five days apart.
Details of testing dates will be communicated to consenting parents/carers once we have a confirmed reopening date. Please note that we may only be able to give short notice of your child’s testing dates to allow us to test as many students as possible prior to the reopening date.
