GCSE Results 2019

The King Edward VI School is reporting another set of excellent GCSE results today.

Clare Savage, Headteacher said, “I would like to congratulate all Year 11 students and staff on an excellent set of GCSE results. Our overall attainment figure of 54.7 is a fantastic result and a testament to our Year 11’s positive attitudes, determination and hard work.”

“I am so pleased that the school continues to go from strength to strength. This is a brilliant achievement and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff on behalf of our students for all the support they have given them.”

78% of students achieved a Level 4+ in Maths and English. Furthermore, over 30% of students obtained a Level 7 pass or higher in Mathematics and/or English and progress overall is predicted to be exceptionally high.

Adele Tansey, Head of Year stated “This was a great year group with a really positive work ethic. They fully deserve these outstanding results and I wish them the very best for the next step in their educational journey.”
