Y8>Y9 Transition: Your September start
Mrs Tansey (Year Leader for our new Year 9 in September) has created another video update for our future Year 9 students outlining what your first few weeks in school will look like. Mrs Tansey outlines our extensive range of extracurricular clubs and talks about the very important matter of lunchtime – our Yorkshire puddings are exceptional! Watch the video below.
Assembly with Mrs Tansey & Mr Connor
Mrs Tansey (Year Leader for our new Year 9 in September) and Mr Connor (Assistant Headteacher) have visited Chantry, Newminster and Dr Thomlinson’s Middle Schools (both face to face and virtually) to answer questions and go through some information about life at King Edward’s. Here is a recording of the presentation for anyone who missed it.
Virtual tour of the school
We are really disappointed that you are not able to visit us in school this year – we know it is important to be able to see what your new school will look like. To help, here are some video tours created by our key worker students from last lockdown.

Parent Carer Handbook
This Parent/Carer Handbook is a useful document for both parents/carers and students. It is intended to provide you with much of the useful information you will require during your time with us at school. All parents receive a hard copy when their child joins us which we would ask that they keep for reference.
